1. Who is the author and what is the purpose of this message?
- Author: Jonas Kolker via Ted Talk (Overcoming Anxiety)
- Purpose: to shed light on what anxiety is and how it can happen to anyone at any time.
2. What creative techniques are used to attract and hold audience attention?
- Personal story telling.
- he uses very specific imagery to help you see his experience through his shoes.
- to keep the audience attentive, he uses different tones and breaks for humor.

- Some may see it as different ways to help themselves cope with anxiety while others may take the information and use it to help others struggling with anxiety.

- POV: 9th grade student who experienced anxiety when he was in the 3rd grade. This timeframe shows that anxiety doesn't have age restriction and that it takes a life time of practice to cope with and control.

- Values: he values his education because he works with his anxiety and does not just shut down.
