Create a Scope of Work Plan

1. Working Title

Anxiety; Cause and Effect

2. Executive Summary
  • Anxiety; Cause and Effect is purposed to address the several of the many contributing factors which lead to students in school developing anxiety, especially in relation to how their peers view them. Some key points are students interacting with social media, dealing with cliques, and accepting themselves for who they are. Through this project, we hope to further our audience's understanding of the everyday struggle that students go through, and give them the tools so that they may help troubled students make it through their day to day functions.

  • These tools will help our audience to understand our message.
7. Timetable/ Schedule
  • By the end of class today 11/10/17, we will have finished Part I of this assignment
  • At home, we will simply work on the aesthetics of our bog and do independent research to find technological tools to interact with
  • Next class, 11/17/17, we will use ~half of our class time to start Part II
8. Resources Needed

  • beneficial for our audience members to have access to a digital device that they could view our blog while we are presenting.
  • beneficial for our audience member to have an open mind on the topic as well as a desire to help their future students cope with their everyday anxiety.
9. Constraints or Challenges
  • we will put a disclaimer in our presentation for our peers because what we will be discussing could be an emotionally difficult subject for some students.

Comments

  1. All sections are excellent due to rich descriptions and attention to detail. Please correct one slight proofreading error: replace semi-colon with colon in #1 and #2 (i.e. a semi-colon separates two independent clauses; a colon points to a list). I like the description in #9 of constraints. Here's some language that I used in a recent curriculum project for 9/11. "Get Support. Topics that bring up emotional responses like this September 11, 2001 curriculum can be difficult for some students. Teachers who feel it is appropriate might invite in an adjustment/ guidance counselor to sit in on a class as the topics of discussion around 9/11 become more complex." You're approved for your Scope of Work plan. Dr. Carolyn
